Devlog Day #012


The is the 12th day of developing Neon Nights.

Today, I created 4 more building textures by modifying my base generic building texture.

The broken windows are mostly the same across the buildings, and the doors are always the same, but I think it does the job as a prototype building. I don't have a budget but I hope I can find a pixel artist anyway, because this process is really time consuming and I'm not very experienced with this. I definitely underestimated the work these people do.

I also started to do some character animations, here is the idle:

I did start to work on a run animation, but there, I barely turned the character to the side so that he's actually able to walk.

I worked 1.5h today.

Tomorrow, I will continue doing the run animation for the main character and then start to do a bit of lighting on the scene, bringing in some lanterns and neon lights.
